31.10 Siberian Man Kills Housemate for Distracting Him From TV
MOSCOW, October 31 (RIA Novosti) A Siberian man fatally stabbed a woman living with him because she distracted him from watching television, local investigators said Thursday.
An ambulance team responding to a call discovered the body of a 50-year-old woman in an apartment in Russias southwestern Siberian city Omsk, the statement said.
Her 40-year-old housemate confessed to investigators that he had stabbed the woman in the heart during lunch because she was trying to make conversation and distracted him from watching TV.
The statement did not detail what TV program in particular had so enthralled the perpetrator.
Investigators detained the man, who had a prior criminal record, and opened a murder case in connection with the incident.
