25.10 Russian Gets 13 Years in Jail for Killing Son Over Glass of Water

MOSCOW, October 25 (RIA Novosti) � A Russian man has been sentenced to 13 years in jail for murder after he beat his son to death with a bottle for refusing to bring him a glass of water, prosecutors said Friday.

Thirty-one year-old Denis Ser suffered serious head wounds. His body was found in an apartment early on May 16, prosecutors in Ulyanovsk, in central Russia, said.

�He had an argument [�] with his 57-year-old father. When his son refused to bring him a glass of water, the father, in a state of alcoholic intoxication, hit the victim several times around the head with a bottle,� prosecutors said.

Vladimir Ser was found guilty of killing his son and sentenced to 13 years in a penal colony. The prosecutors noted that he had previously been convicted for a �similar crime.�
