19.09 1 Dead in Moscow Fire
MOSCOW, September 19 (RIA Novosti) - One person has died in a fire in Moscow, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported Thursday.
The fire broke out on the seventh floor of a nine-story building on Startovaya Street in the Russian capitals northeast, the ministry said.
The flames were extinguished at 02:24 Moscow time, the ministrys statement said. Six people were rescued from upper floors. One person died.
It was not immediately clear what had caused the fire. An investigation is underway.
