24.06 Russian-American Entrepreneur Seeks Brides on US Highways
MIAMI, June 24 (RIA Novosti) - A Hollywood, Florida mechanic and Hummer tour operator has started a matchmaking service on Americas Interstate highway system, reports the Miami Herald.
Russian-American Alexander Gorbunov, 37, placed a sign reading Looking for a Wife on the back window of his Hummer 8 months ago and has received between 15 to 20 calls and texts a day since. Potential brides have contacted him from locations in Florida, California, Georgia, Michigan, and even as far as China.
Gorbunov insists that he is not looking for a bride himself, but did it to benefit family and friends. Its for fun. I like to bring people together he told the Herald. Gorbunov has reserved the domain name datingonwheels.com and plans to start a business.
Subscribers will place a sign listing the website on their cars. Interested parties will then track down potential romantic partners by license plate number and make and model of the vehicle.
